RapCom is a short voice message app for android. Following a quick registration, users can send voice messages of a few seconds length to one or more users within closed groups.
Although the application was practically finished, the testing stage revealed a major Parse.com bug that prevented its publication on the android market. The bug afflicts the notification layer which is the core function of RapCom, so even though the app is working, we judged it would not be successful on account of the unreliable server-side communication.
Right from the start, RapCom was viewed as a learning project, without any revolutionary thought behind. It was quite rewarding, however, in terms of familiarizing with android (and with 3rd party backend services).
